RHS exists to bring people together—families, residents, neighbors, and the broader community—to build inclusive, supportive neighborhoods where adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) can thrive alongside their peers while making their own choices about their future.
For many families, the future of their loved one with IDD is uncertain. Aging parents worry about what will happen when they can no longer provide care, and too often, housing options are limited and isolating—separating individuals from their families, friends, and the community they know. RHS was founded by families who wanted a better way—one that ensures their loved ones are not just housed, but truly connected and in control of their own lives.
By developing neuro-inclusive neighborhoods, RHS creates spaces where individuals with IDD choose where they live, who they live with, and which service providers support them—giving them the self-determination and independence they deserve. They live alongside neurotypical neighbors, forming genuine friendships and a strong sense of belonging, while their families play an active role in shaping these communities.
RHS also strengthens community ties through social programming, shared events, and enhanced support services, ensuring that no one—resident or family—navigates this journey alone.
At its core, RHS is about more than housing. It’s about building lasting communities where individuals with IDD, their families, and their neighbors support one another, do life together, and create a future where everyone has the right to choose how and where they live—while being part of a vibrant, inclusive community.
